Aluminium Extrusion

The aluminum extrusion process is a critical element of Kromet's business model, a core competency highly valued by our customers. Our extruding equipment allows us to provide complex profiles in a wide range of sizes, strengths, and technical specifications.

We are capable of producing a wide range of profiles from small and intricate to large cross sections up to 48" in diameter. We produce extrusions for more robust applications, including architectural and structural components, all produced to exacting specifications. We primarily extrude 6000 series aluminum, but have the capability to supply in other alloy types such as 5000 series. Our extrusion process incorporates water quenching, forced air cooling optimization, and pulling/stretching capabilities. Heat treatable alloys can be artificially age hardened in our large aging oven for further properties enhancement.

To ensure our extrusions meet all tolerances and specifications our quality control processes incorporate a fully automated computer controlled profile inspection process, utilizing the state-of-the-art Keyence IM-6601E.
